Tuscaloosa Police Identify Woman Killed On I-359 Wednesday

The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified a 30-year-old woman who was struck and killed on Interstate 359 Wednesday morning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified a 30-year-old woman who was struck and killed on Interstate 359 Wednesday morning.

As Patch previously reported, TPD said officers responded to the northbound lanes of I-359 at 5:23 a.m. Wednesday and found that Tuscaloosa woman had been involved in a one-vehicle crash as she exited the ramp from Interstate 20/59, with her car coming to rest across the middle lane of I-359.

A witness then told TPD officers that the woman exited her car after the accident and was then struck by an oncoming 18-wheeler.

Kiana Marie Armstrong was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center after the incident but died from her injuries Wednesday morning.
