Tuscaloosa Authorities Searching For High-Speed Pursuit Suspect

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies are actively searching for a suspect involved in a high-speed pursuit Wednesday.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office Public Information Office Jessica McDaniel told Patch that a suspect was driving a stolen vehicle when the pursuit was initiated by a Tuscaloosa Police officer around 2:07 p.m. at 7th Avenue and Willow Chase.

She then said the pursuit continued north to Interstate 20/59 and ended at the 86 mile marker when the suspect wrecked the vehicle and ran into a wooded area nearby.
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Tuscaloosa Police and Brookwood Police Department are also aiding in the search efforts.
