Tuscaloosa Police Seek Help Identifying Suspected Car Thief
The Tuscaloosa Police Department on Wednesday said it asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of stealing a woman's car.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department on Wednesday said it asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of stealing a woman's car from a gas station on Skyland Boulevard.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told local media that surveillance photos show the suspect on the morning of Jan. 3, before the vehicle was recovered in Cottondale later in the day.

Taylor said the woman reported that she left her car running while she went inside the store just before 10 a.m.
Investigators eventually came to the belief that the man, wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants, drove the car to Jefferson County before returning and abandoning it near the intersection of Clements Road and Jim Jones Road.
