Tuscaloosa Public Library's Main Branch To Temporarily Close For Renovations In July

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Public Library on Tuesday announced that its Main Branch will be closed for renovations from Monday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 10.

Improvements at the Main Branch will include a new roof, HVAC system, LED lighting, and an upgraded circulation department featuring self-checkout and return stations.

The library system says patrons can still return materials to the Main Branch book drop, and staff will continue to process eCard applications for digital resource access.

The Weaver Bolden Branch will remain open during this time, other than the Fourth of July holiday from July 4-5.

What's more, the library system also mentioned its new Vending Libraries at the Faucett Brothers Activity Center and Northport City Hall.
