Tuscaloosa's Tinsel Trail is set to return for its 12th season in Government Plaza by featuring over 200 uniquely decorated Christmas trees.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa’s Tinsel Trail is set to return for its 12th season in Government Plaza by featuring over 200 uniquely decorated Christmas trees.

The grand opening will take place on Monday, Nov. 25, with the trail remaining open daily through Jan. 1.

The event is made possible by University Medical Center, Buffalo Rock and the City of Tuscaloosa, in addition to offering businesses and organizations the chance to showcase their creativity with custom-decorated trees.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Tinsel Trail for its 12th year,” Tuscaloosa's One Place Director of Communications Ashley Cornelius said. “Each year, this event highlights the very best of our community, and it’s incredible to see how everyone comes together to celebrate the holiday season. We can’t wait to see what everyone has in store for this year.”

The Tinsel Trail is free and open to the public, with proceeds from the event supporting local non-profit initiatives like Tuscaloosa’s One Place — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides essential services including parenting education, after-school programs, workforce development and teen intervention to over 24,000 residents annually.
