Tuscaloosa Seeking Candidates For Zoning Board Of Adjustments

The City of Tuscaloosa is accepting applications for an open seat on the Zoning Board of Adjustments.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa is accepting applications for an open seat on the Zoning Board of Adjustments, with the term set to expire on Sept. 28, 2027.

Established in 1959, the Zoning Board of Adjustments is an advisory board tasked with reviewing requests for special exceptions, authorizing variances from the zoning ordinance, and addressing appeals regarding potential errors made by the zoning officer.

Applicants must be residents of Tuscaloosa and available to attend monthly meetings, which are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5 p.m.

While training or experience with zoning ordinances or related fields is preferred, all candidates will be reviewed and recommended by the City Council.
