The owners announced this week on Instagram that Thursday, July 24, will be their last day open.
"In 2016, we set out with a dream to bring something new and innovative to Tuscaloosa," the Instagram post said. "We took a leap of faith with a food truck and a third-generation family fry recipe. From that moment on, Granddaddy Fries became a Tuscaloosa staple. We can't thank this community enough for the love, support, and loyalty you've shown us over the past eight years. While this chapter of Local Roots is coming to a close, the memories will stay with us forever."
