TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash Friday night a few miles south of Eutaw in Greene County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal collision occurred at approximately 7:32 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, when the 2000 Lincoln Town Car driven by Willie J. Smith, 61, of York, struck a 2011 Audi Q5 driven by Kaydence R. Clark, 19, of Demopolis.

ALEA said Smith was not using a seat belt at the time of crash on U.S. Highway 43 near Choctaw Roadand was pronounced dead at the scene, while Clark was injured and transported to Whitfield Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Clark later succumbed to her injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
