Kennedy said two individuals were then located at the hospital and both had injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

"The initial investigation revealed that one of the subjects at the hospital was the initial aggressor and shot the other, and gunfire was exchanged," he said. "The aggressor was also shot at some point."

Kennedy then said both individuals are still hospitalized and the investigation is ongoing.

"Once it is completed, and formal charges are brought, the suspect or suspects will be identified," he said. "There is no evidence that this incident was related to the previous shooting/murder that occurred at the same apartment complex earlier this week."

As Patch previously reported, Aaron Reshad Smith, 37, was charged with murder in the shooting at the apartment complex earlier this week, which resulted in the death of Travaris Keandre Banks, 41. Another individual was also injured in the shooting, but is expected to survive their injuries.
