Uniontown Man Killed Thursday In Marengo County Crash

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Uniontown man was killed Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 25 near Faunsdale.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal collision occurred at approximately 4:05 p.m. Thursday when a 2008 Dodge Ram driven by Dewayne L. Harris, 43, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

ALEA went on to say Harris was transported to Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis, where he succumbed to injuries shortly after the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation and was the second fatal collision investigated by troopers in west Alabama on Thursday.

As Patch previously reported, a Moundville woman was killed earlier in the day on Alabama Highway 60 near Akron.
