University Of Alabama To Award 1,240 Degrees At Summer Commencement
The University of Alabama is gearing up to celebrate its summer graduating class with a commencement ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 9 a.m.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama is gearing up to celebrate its summer graduating class with a commencement ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 9 a.m. at Coleman Coliseum.

The ceremony will recognize 1,240 degree candidates representing 48 states, 65 Alabama counties and 38 countries.

The graduating class boasts an average GPA of 3.152 and includes 237 first-generation college students, 23 military veterans and eight active-duty service members.
Graduates and guests attending the ceremony must adhere to UA Athletics' clear bag policy, and metal detectors will be in use at all entry points to ensure a secure environment.
