TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa County teenager is dead and another injured following a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Clements Road.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the fatal wreck occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. near Hagler Coaling Road when a 2004 Chevrolet SSR left the roadway and overturned.

A 14-year-old from Vance was pronounced dead at the scene, while another 14-year-old from Cottondale who was driving the vehicle was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
ALEA says the teen killed in the crash was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which occurred approximately three miles east of Tuscaloosa.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
