Wells, Jackson Honored By American Baseball Coaches Association
The two coaches were honored with awards at The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) banquet last Saturday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Former Alabama baseball coach Jim Wells and current Crimson Tide assistant Jason Jackson were honored with awards at The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) banquet last Saturday.

Wells, who coached the Tide from 1995-2009, was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the organization's 2024 class — becoming the first coach in Alabama history to earn a spot in the Hall of Fame.

The legendary coach is the all-time winningest in Crimson Tide history with 625 victories, including a program-best 259 in Southeastern Conference play. Well also helped UA earn a berth in Omaha for three of the program's five College World Series appearances.
Jackson was named the ABCA/Marines National Assistant Coach of the Year in Division I, also becoming the first Crimson Tide assistant to win the award.

The ABCA National Assistant Coach of the Year award has been presented annually since 1999, with the award expanding to recognize outstanding assistant coaches from eight divisions of college baseball and three divisions of high school baseball.
