Sellers said when deputies arrived they found a 62-year-old woman dead inside a dog pen after the 911 caller — a family member of the victim — had been contacted by the husband of the victim.
He went on to say that the victim’s husband tried to call her and couldn’t make contact, so he asked that the caller go check on her.

When the man arrived at the residence, he found her in the pen and tried to check on her but was also attacked by the dog and was forced to put the dog down.
Sellers explained that the dog was a large breed and the woman received fatal injuries during the attack, despite the family telling investigators they had never had issues with the family pet before.
Sellers said no further identification will be made due to privacy considerations for the family.
