TUSCALOOSA, AL — A York woman was killed Tuesday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Sumter County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the crash occurred at approximately 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, when the 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 35-year-old LaTorrey L. Law left the roadway and overturned.

ALEA said Law was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene on Alabama Highway 17, roughly seven miles north of York.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
