• EJI Honors Legendary Civil Rights Lawyer Fred Gray at Elevation (eji.org) — A prominent Montgomery convening center has named its main boardroom for legendary civil rights attorney Fred Gray, who still practices law from his office in Tuskegee. The tribute highlights his pivotal role in cases from the Montgomery Bus Boycott to the Tuskegee Syphilis settlement, underscoring how a Tuskegee-based lawyer helped shape national civil rights history.
   

• Atlanta Braves invests $1 million in HBCU baseball & softball (clutchpoints.com) — Tuskegee residents may be glad to know Tuskegee University is among the HBCUs that have benefited from the Atlanta Braves and Truist Bank’s $1 million Homers for Hank initiative, which upgrades baseball and softball programs. While 2025’s major awards went to other schools, earlier rounds brought facility and equipment improvements to Tuskegee’s program, part of a broader effort honoring Hank Aaron and expanding opportunities for Black student-athletes.
