- On Wednesday, the Anchorage Police Department successfully recovered a gun reported stolen five days earlier. A citizen called police on Apr. 15 to report the theft of his unsecured handgun. On Apr. 20, APD officers saw a man with a gun in his waistband, repeatedly pulling it out to point at vehicles and wave around. Authorities eventually apprehended 20-year-old Stephen I. Moses and secured the loaded gun from him. The gun was found to match the weapon that had been reported as stolen just five days prior. (Anchorage Police Department Facebook)
