Here are the top three stories today in Anchorage:
- A shooting inside a downtown Anchorage bar left one man wounded on Sunday. According to police, officers were called to the Gaslight Lounge, which is directly across the street from police headquarters, at 2:12 a.m. for “some type of altercation inside the bar.” The unidentified victim was brought to an Anchorage hospital and is expected to survive. No charges have been filed in connection with the incident. (Anchorage Daily News)
- An Anchorage native will be joining the University Of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Hockey Team. According to an announcement by UAA head coach Matt Shasby, Max Osborne will be joining the team for the 2022-23 season. Osborne started his college career at St. Thomas as a defenseman, where he recorded two assists in seven games during the 2020-21 season. (Press Release Desk)
