  1. As the Alaska Airlines protest over contract negotiations continues, the airline grounded over 100 additional flights between Sunday and Monday. Between that 48-hour period, over 15,000 passengers were left without a flight; an average of about 7 percent of Alaska Airlines flights have been canceled each day since the picketing began Friday. According to Capt. Jeff Schroeder, Chairman of the Airline Pilots Association Anchorage Council, the association isn't interested in a full strike — though it isn't completely ruling out the possibility. 2. Of over 80 comments directed to the Alaska Redistricting Board regarding Senate pairings in Anchorage, 75 have come from Democratic party members. The redistricting board first met on Saturday, with another meeting this Monday; additional meetings are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday if needed.
