Here are the top three stories today in Anchorage:
- Get ready for the municipal election this Tuesday in Anchorage. Drop boxes are scattered around town and ballots must be turned in by Tuesday, Apr. 5 at 8 p.m. However, you can also vote in person or send your ballot in the mail. - A federal jury has convicted an Anchorage man on two counts of distributing heroin. According to trial evidence and court documents, Jason McAnulty, aka “Snoop,” 38, had sold approximately 101 grams of heroin for $5,000 cash on Jun. 17, 2020, and later sold approximately 25 grams of heroin for $1,300 cash to a law enforcement source. Further investigations found $34,000 in cash and other drug distribution contraband in his residence. (Alaska Native News)
- The head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, has announced the launch of the 141st Women's Business Center (WBC) in Anchorage. The center will officially be operated by the Seattle Economic Development Fund. With the launch, the SBA has officially opened a WBC in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. (Press Release Desk)

- The Anchorage Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 31-year-old Jan Hagen. Hagen apparently traveled via airplane from Kenai to Anchorage on Mar. 14 and family members have not heard from Hagen since. (Facebook)
