- The University of Alaska, Anchorage has announced that they are looking for undergraduate research assistants. They are specifically in need of assistants for the 2022 to 2023 academic year. The people selected will "help teach a health promotion program to older adults in Anchorage and Eagle River." - This past Monday, an Anchorage man was sentenced to 27.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of "online enticement or coercion in relation." 34-year-old Alex Asino will also be under a lifetime of supervised release after he is let out of prison. According to reports, Asino revealed much about the situation to an undercover officer. (Alaska Native News)
- To consolidate votes for the Apr. 5 election, two Anchorage school board candidates dropped out. Last week, Cliff Murray dropped out of the race via a video that also featured candidate Mark Anthony Cox. Murray and Cox emphasized that this would help avoid splitting the vote.
