Blackshear, 39, is a person of interest in the case which involves two victims that were found dead in a residence on Resurrection Drive near Race Circle. An updated community alert states that police believe armed and dangerous Blackshear fled the state while the investigation continues. (Alaska's News Source)
- Months after it was passed, Anchorage officials have said they will finally start using the budget approved by the Assembly. Although the Assembly overrode vetoes from Mayor Dave Bronson to pass the budget in December, Bronson’s administration hasn’t been following that budget, and some programs aren’t getting the funding they expected. Now, there's uncertainty over how much money will go where — and who actually gets the final say on the city’s budget. (Alaska Public Media)
