🌱 Suspect Arrested In DV Assault + State Senate Redistrcting

Here are the top three stories in Anchorage today:

  1. A suspect in an Anchorage domestic violence assault was arrested on Wednesday morning. Ottawa K. Wiehl, 39, was taken by police from his home on Wednesday after being refused entry on Tuesday. The assault took place on Tuesday evening on Wilson Street. (Alaska Native News)
  2. An Anchorage judge is considering a case that could redraw state Senate boundaries. Superior Court Judge Thomas Matthews is overseeing a new map of state Senate districts a month after he ordered them to be redrawn. Judge Matthews will hold a meeting with courtroom arguments on May 9th before ruling on the matter. (Anchorage Daily News)
