• SBA opens disaster loan outreach center in Bethel after Typhoon Halong (businessdailynetwork.com) — If you were hit by October’s storms or Typhoon Halong, SBA staff are now available at Bethel City Hall to walk you through disaster loan applications on weekdays. Businesses, nonprofits, homeowners, and renters can seek help for property damage or economic injury, with deadlines for physical damage applications on December 22 and economic injury applications next July.
   

• Bethel's Alaska Native corporation to send out distributions this month (kyuk.org) — Most Bethel Native Corporation shareholders will see their annual distribution hit accounts on December 11, with an average 100-share holder receiving $559. Elders 65 and older as of December 1 are also eligible for a separate $400 payment, though those worried about impacts on state or federal benefits can contact BNC’s Bethel office to opt out.
