• Haines plans for roadway improvements with federal infrastructure funding (alaskapublic.org) — Haines residents are being asked to weigh in on which local roads and intersections most need safety improvements, after the borough and Chilkoot Indian Association secured nearly $200,000 in federal infrastructure funding. A consulting firm is gathering crash data and community feedback through Dec. 31 to build a Safety Action Plan that could unlock more money for future street upgrades and design changes.
