• AMVETS hosts wish tree for Palmer veterans home residents (alaskasnewssource.com) — Palmer residents can brighten the holidays for seniors and veterans at the Alaska Veterans and Pioneers Home by “adopting” a wish from AMVETS Post Nine’s Christmas Wish Tree before Dec. 22. Most requests are simple comforts, from candy and snacks to small keepsakes, and volunteers deliver the wrapped gifts by wagon on Christmas Eve, often adding extra warm items like blankets, hats, and gloves.
