• Tucson Marathon's 54th year brings thousands of runners to the Old Pueblo (kold.com) — Thousands of runners just pounded through the mountains of Oro Valley as part of the 54th Tucson Marathon, which started at Biosphere 2 and finished at Pima Community College’s Northwest Campus. With a fast, mostly downhill course and warm race-day temperatures, local and out-of-state runners chased Boston-qualifying times while spectators cheered them on along the Oro Valley stretch.

- Harry, the Great Blue Heron, thinks he’s the greatest and doesn’t tolerate the Great Egret in his territory.
He thinks he’s the only one with Great in his name who can fish in his ponds and finds the smaller Black Crowned Night Heron acceptable. (Nextdoor Sun City Oro Valley) - Two dogs roaming through the neighborhood on Rancho Sonora and Cascabella.
