• Oro Valley Begins Work on New State Mandated Housing Program (blogspot.com) — Oro Valley is launching a new state-mandated library of preapproved housing plans that residents can use to build casitas, ADUs, and small homes more quickly and cheaply starting in 2026. Town staff are drafting procedures, studying Tucson’s casita program, and warning that HOA rules and design standards may limit how widely these plans are used, especially in new subdivisions.
   

• Amphitheater Public Schools has 11 ‘A' schools (tucsonlocalmedia.com) — Families in Oro Valley can celebrate that every Amphitheater district school in town earned an “A” grade from the state, with Painted Sky and Canyon del Oro leading proficiency scores. The district now has 11 “A” schools overall, rising proficiency in math and English, and no “D” or “F” campuses, as leaders emphasize data-driven improvement and support for struggling neighborhoods.
