2 Killed In Separate Phoenix Weekend Shootings, 1 Charged
A 17-year-old boy and a man were killed in separate shootings in Phoenix on Saturday.
PHOENIX, AZ — Two separate early morning Saturday shootings left a 17-year-old boy and man dead, according to Phoenix Police.
Police did not identify the man, but the boy who was killed was Durran Azad Azeez.
Carl Blazak, 46, was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of murder for the death of the man, according to police.

The man was shot around 1 a.m. Saturday at an apartment complex near the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Deer Valley Road in North Phoenix.
The man who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe he was shot after some sort of altercation inside an apartment.

Azeez was also shot around 1 a.m., near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Dunlap Street. Azeez was dropped off at a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries, but did not survive, according to police.
