3 Stabbed, 1 Killed At Phoenix Business, Suspect Arrested: Police
A man was killed, one woman is in stable condition and a second woman was treated at the scene, according to police.
PHOENIX, AZ — One man is dead and two women are injured after a knife attack at a Phoenix business near 27th Avenue and Jackson Street on Thursday, according to police.
Jeffrey Matteson, 46, was killed in the attack around noon Thursday, police said. Another woman is in stable condition and a second woman was treated on the scene for a minor injury, according to police. Matteson and the first woman were both transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where Matteson was later pronounced dead, police said.
Rodrigo Zamora Valenzuela, 29, was arrested and booked into Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, according to police.
