PHOENIX – A 62-year-old motorcyclist was killed Thursday around 7:20 p.m. after colliding with a Dodge Charger in a DUI-involved accident. Motorcyclist Terrence Albright was headed east from Desert Cove Avenue in Phoenix when he turned onto Cave Creek Road’s two-way left turn lane going north. However, when Albright moved into the two-way left turn lane, his motorcycle and a 2008 Dodge Charger headed south in the same lane collided.
Albright, driving a 1995 Honda VF750 motorcycle and not wearing a helmet, sustained many injuries and was taken to the hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, Phoenix police reported.
The Dodge Charger driver, a 25-year-old woman with 22-year-old and 19-year-old female passengers, stayed at the accident’s scene while police determined she was impaired. Officers gave her a DUI citation but didn’t take her into custody. The Dodge Charger’s driver and her two passengers didn’t sustain any injuries in the crash.
