PHOENIX, AZ — Spring is in the air. That means the weather is changing, and everyone is ready to have fun after hibernating all winter. Looking for something to do? We have the list for you.

Phoenix Spring Bucket List

  1. Be open-minded at Dusk Market, a pop-up night market of thoughtful vendors with everything from handmade clothing to independent arts and zines right next to vintage homewares, on April 30. The event benefits Cahokia. Tickets here.
  2. Celebrate children, animals and Latino culture at Día del Niño at the Phoenix Zoo on April 30 with animal features, free carousel rides, performances and art, tons of activities and more.
  3. Enjoy the entertainment at the family-friendly, pet-friendly Rainbow Festival and Street Fair by Phoenix Pride on April 30 to May 1. Free.
  4. Pick your number for chicken poop bingo at Roars and Pours at the Phoenix Zoo on May 19. Plus craft beverages, wine, food, camel rides, classic games with a ~large~ twist and more. Tickets required, must be 21 or older.
  5. Start salivating: Spring Arizona Restaurant Week is May 20 to 29. Participating restaurants will offer a prix fixe dinner at an unbeatable price.
  6. Bring your best buddy to look at the flowers for Dog Days at the Garden, Sunday mornings through June 26.
  7. Hike in Papago Park for an easier trek than the more crowded famous ones. As always, keep an eye on the temperatures, go early in the morning, and bring plenty of water.
  8. Ride a horse (or hike) in South Mountain Park.

Tempe

  • Let the music move you at one of the upcoming concerts in Tempe Marketplace.
  • Enjoy the art at World of Chalk on April 30, featuring muralists, community performances, activities for kids and an outdoor bar.
  • Float your troubles away (and keep the heat at bay) with Salt River Tubing, opening for the season on April 30. Make sure to be well prepared.
  • Visit the Skysill Rooftop Lounge for panoramic views of the area with regular events.

    • Or feel your heart beat to the music of the valley’s top DJs every Saturday night.

Scottsdale

  • Enjoy the sounds of the Scottsdale Jazz Festival on April 30. Tickets required and are already sold out in several tiers.
  • Learn about seasons, cycles and the value of being in tune with the universe from the only eight-time World Hoop Dance Champion, Derrick Suwaima Davis, and The Living Traditions Dance Troupe at "Dancing With the Universe|Native Style" on May 7. Tickets Required.
  • Take a trip with a classic film, a cocktail and Mexican street popcorn on Fridays or vinyl-spinning on Fridays and Saturdays at The Canal Club.
  • Flow on the Wet Deck of the W Scottsdale with Feel Good Flow Yoga Series With The Madison on May 19 and June 9. Tickets required.
  • Stargaze at Adero Scottsdale with the Star Dudes, a group of local astronomers, as they provide a laser-powered constellation tour. Friday nights, April 15 to June 24. Free.
  • Cool off in the pool at the Hotel Adeline with a day pass to its constant-swimming soiree (purchase in advance) or during the liquid sunshine pool party, which returns in May.
    • Or visit the Maya Day Club for nonstop pool club vibes with games, food, drink and events.
  • Stroll along the Scottsdale Art Walk, wandering in and out of galleries to live music. Thursdays 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., occasional special Gold Palette Art Walk events. Free.
