PHOENIX, AZ — Valentine’s Day 2020 in Phoenix brings many events for those wanting to do something besides a movie night out or Netflix at home with their honey. Here are 9 fun and romantic events to consider, all on Feb. 14:

Valentine’s Day Couples’ Paint, Art in the Garden Studio, 4221 E. Chandler Blvd., Ste. 123, Phoenix — Couples of any artistic ability levels paint a picture of rain in Paris. Includes an appetizer, chocolates, charcuterie and mocktails. Runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $90.

Valentine’s with a View Romantic Rooftop Dinner, The Stewart, 800 N. Central Ave., Phoenix — This 5-course dinner supports the nonprofit Pierce Family Foundation helping kids with life-threatening or chronic illness. Includes welcome champagne, a candlelit private table, a take-home gift from the chefs, live music and optional wine pairing and personalized love note. The event runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and tickets are $139 to $199. The event’s webpage says, “Due to prix fixe menu, we cannot accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions.”

Love Stories & Wine, Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N. Central Ave., Phoenix — Enjoy the museum’s garden patio fire and wine while hearing love stories told by community member speakers. The program runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wine can be purchased from the Palette restaurant but isn’t included in the event’s ticket price of $16 for program only, $23 for museum admission and program or $13 for museum members. The museum also offers discounted general museum admission Feb. 14 for $14 per couple.

Valentine’s Date Night Planting Workshop, Plant Bar AZ, 46135 N. Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix — Couples can plant 3 succulents into 1 planter together, or buy 2 tickets and each complete a planter separately at this 7:30 p.m. event. The $34.95 plus tax per planter fee is nonrefundable, and attendees must be 18 or older.

Bark in the Park: Valentine’s Edition, Phoenix Civic Space Park, 424 N. Central Ave., Phoenix — Bring a picnic or enjoy Food Truck Friday cuisine, then cuddle with dogs from the Arizona Humane Society and take a selfie or two with your significant other and your new furry friend from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free admission.

My Bloody Valentine, Parsons Center for Health and Wellness, 1101 N. Central Ave., Phoenix — Based on the horror movie, this event caters to those wanting to visit the darker side of the holiday with an Italian dinner and “scary fun.” Auctions, raffles and performers are also featured at the event, running 6 to 9 p.m. at $25 per ticket.

Valentine’s Day Private Couples’ Dance Lessons, Fred Astaire Dance Studios-Phoenix North, 1107 E. Bell Road, Ste. 9, Phoenix — Take two private couples dance lessons from an expert between noon and 9 p.m. The $55 fee also includes a candlelit table for two, chocolates, champagne and a rose.

Valentine’s Day at Urban Axes, 402 S. 1st St., Phoenix — Love isn’t the only thing in the air; axes are too at Urban Axes. Throw axes as a couple for $45 per hour, which includes one glass of sparkling wine per person. Participants must be at least 21 and wear close-toed shoes.

Madison Education Foundation Valentine Fundraiser: Dueling Pianos, Madison Center for the Arts, 5601 N. 16th St., Phoenix — Listen to Low Key Dueling Pianos at an evening of love, fun and music. Proceeds benefit the Madison Education Foundation’s mission to increase arts education provided to Madison School District students. The fundraiser starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $50 for couples, which includes a free drink. VIP couples’ tickets are $75 and get you an onstage seat, along with a free dessert and drink.
