ADOT Launches 12th ‘Arizona Highways’ Amateur, Pro Photo Contest
ADOT has once again launched its annual professional and amateur photo contest, with 3 winning entries appearing in the Sept. 2020 edition.
ARIZONA – Born in the 1920s, Arizona Highways magazine is known not only by Arizona residents but also internationally for its landscape and wildlife photos. The publication’s photos are usually taken by experienced professional photographers. However, ADOT has once again launched its annual Arizona Highways photography contest, which is open to professional and amateur photographers through Dec. 15.
In the 12th contest of its kind, this year’s photo entries will be divided into two groups: macro (close-up) and landscape. The contest rules require that all photos are Arizona-made. The photos will be judged on light, framing, composition and overall “wow” factor.
The first-place winner will receive a $2,500 Arizona photo workshop. The second- and third-place winners will each be awarded a Tempe Camera prize package worth $500 or $250 respectively. All three contest winners’ entries will appear in Arizona Highways magazine’s September 2020 edition.
