Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:
- Holocaust survivors attended the opening of a virtual reality experience at the Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center in Phoenix, which takes visitors through the annex where Anne Frank lived for two years during the Holocaust. The experience is an accurate depiction of how the space looked when Anne Frank lived there, making visitors feel as though they are sitting right next to Anne at her desk. Rabbi Jeffrey Schesnol, the associate director and curator of the center, said the experience is important and immersive, especially given the current increase in antisemitism and racism worldwide. - On Mar. 21, Chase Bank will be hosting a complimentary all-day expo to help local business owners in Greater Phoenix prepare for potential economic headwinds and support their businesses' growth. The Experience: Phoenix event will take place at On Jackson and include workshops, expert talks, panel discussions, free professional headshots, catered lunch, and access to workspaces and refreshments in the Chase Lounge. Registration is required to attend; register here. (The Business Journals)
- A man was discovered dead inside his vehicle at the intersection of 35th and Peoria avenues in north Phoenix. The authorities received reports of a car obstructing the roadway and a seemingly unconscious driver. Upon arrival, the police found the man to be unresponsive at the scene and the Phoenix fire department declared him dead. The investigation is ongoing, and police have yet to disclose the cause of death or the man's identity. (12news.com KPNX)
