UPDATE: Argument Outside Phoenix Apartments Turns Deadly For 2

Two men were shot and killed Monday night after arguing with the accused shooter in a Phoenix apartment complex parking lot.

UPDATE: Police have released the names of the victims and suspect and the charges on which the suspect has been booked.

PHOENIX, AZ — An argument outside a Phoenix apartment complex near 14830 N. Black Canyon Access turned deadly Monday night for two shooting victims. About 8:40 p.m., officers were called to the apartment complex’s parking lot where they found Luis Sanchez Hernandez Jr., 37, and Tommy Rodriguez, 39, with gunshot wounds. Phoenix Fire members pronounced both men dead at the shooting’s scene.

Several Phoenix police units, including air and K9, then responded to help contain the apartment that suspect Michael R. Keeton, 40, went into after the shooting. Police ordered Keeton to come out of the apartment, after which he was arrested without incident.

Keeton was booked into jail on charges of second-degree murder and weapons misconduct.

Police continue to investigate.
