  1. The Arizona Lottery recently announced a first-of-its-kind online platform for residents to provide more winning opportunities. The program will feature a variety of games where participants can utilize coins to play digital games and earn more coins that could lead to different cash prizes. The online platform is known as Lucky Lounge and will feature bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly drawings of as high as $10,000. (KTAR)
  2. After being hit by a car while trying to change a tire on the side of the freeway, one man was left dead in Phoenix late in the evening on Friday night. According to the Department of Public Safety, officials responded to the report around 11:30 p.m. involving a vehicle and pedestrian near Southern Avenue and 40th Street on I-10. An investigation is currently underway to figure out what caused the incident and the victim has yet to be identified. (AZ Family)
  3. Choice Hotels International has officially broken ground on its Everhome Suites in nearby Glendale to help bolster its presence in the extended stay industry. The four-story property is currently being developed by a Denver-based firm and will feature 122 rooms, spa-style bathrooms, closets and extra storage space, a 24-hour fitness center, laundry services, and so much more. The hotel is expected to be completed and ready to open by late 2024. (Your Valley)

  • Frontier Airlines' new service from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Houston officially took off yesterday. This brand new service marks Frontier's 23rd non-stop destination from Sky Harbor and features airfare as low as $59 per ticket. (ABC15.com)
  • As a part of Child Crisis Arizona, a local organization is collecting shoes to ensure kids have a new pair when going back to school in the fall. Residents and surrounding community members can drop pairs of shoes off at Rita's Italian Ice nearby in Arcadia until Friday, Jun. 30, so visit here if you're interested in learning more about how you can help.
