PHOENIX, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding two robbers caught on film as they burglarized Phoenix food establishments. One of the cases occurred Wednesday. The other is a case from November that authorities are still trying to crack.

Slightly after midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 4, a man wearing a light-colored hoodie, light-colored sweatpants and a Nike logo backpack lowered himself down into the La Caretta De Lilly Restaurant through the eatery’s roof vent using a thin strap. Once in the restaurant, located at 2902 W. Van Buren St. in Phoenix, the man stole several items, then lit a fire in the restaurant’s back area and left the scene.

Additionally, the Phoenix PD recently resent information to the media on another unsolved restaurant break-in, which occurred in November. On the evening of Friday, Nov. 2, a 35- to 40-year-old white male with a large build, mustache and goatee wearing a hooded sweatshirt and glasses broke into the My Gal Sal Bakery at 15820 N. 35th Ave. in Phoenix. Once he gained access to the eatery, he broke into a safe and removed cash and iPads before he left the scene using the business’s back door.
