Downtown Phoenix Fire Burns Vacant Building, Closes Court
The two-alarm fire at Fifth Avenue and Van Buren Street started around 3:30, Thursday morning and closed the area for several hours.

PHOENIX, AZ – A fire in a downtown building snarled traffic for hours as more than 100 firefighters worked to bring it under control. The fire reached a second-alarm.
Phoenix Fire says that they were called to Fifth Avenue and Van Buren Street around 3:30 on Thursday morning.
The building was vacant. The roof collapsed and extra firefighters were needed to make sure that the fire didn't spread to other buildings.
