- Phoenix residents getting Red-y for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour aren't alone in their excitement. In honor of the event, the city of Glendale will temporarily change its name to celebrate the Grammy-winning musician. Though the name change will only be temporary until Mar. 18, fans are already speculating what the name may be. According to the city, local restaurants will be offering Swift-themed menu items to celebrate as well. The name should be announced this week. (12 News)
- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will be getting a new airline this fall! Canada's Flair Airlines announced this week that it will be moving from Mesa Gateway to Phoenix Sky Harbor. Residents from Calgary, Vancouver, and Edmonton, CA, will have a sunny getaway in Phoenix, while Phoenix residents can take advantage of the new flights to explore the beautiful nature Canada has to offer. - Flood warnings were in effect this weekend due to flooding in riverbeds and bottomlands along the Salt River. Just east of Phoenix, the river's dam releases are the likely cause for the flooding due to heavy snowmelt. Other parts of Arizona have been affected by flooding this past week, including Tempe Town Lake through the West Valley, Scottsdale, and Mesa. (KJZZ)
