Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. Airport workers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, including those contracted by SSP America and Prospect Airport Services, are raising concerns about hazardous work conditions, inadequate wages, and lack of benefits. Workers claim they are exposed to extreme heat and unsanitary workspaces, with some experiencing severe heat-related symptoms. Despite SSP America workers authorizing a strike and Prospect workers filing a complaint alleging federal OSHA violations, the airport asserts that measures are in place to safeguard workers from excessive heat. 2. On Friday in Phoenix, a couple's roof was left mysteriously damaged following a deafening noise reminiscent of continuous booming, lasting around 15 seconds, which left homeowner Lisa Sikorski feeling as though her house might collapse. Despite the extensive roof damage, captured on a neighbor's doorbell camera hours after showing the roof intact, there were no reported incidents or objects from the sky by the FAA, and no evidence was found on the premises. Sikorski, grateful the incident didn't inflict greater harm, eagerly awaits insights from a roofing repair company expected to inspect the damage soon. (12news.com KPNX)
  3. In a Phoenix apartment complex late Saturday night, a dispute escalated resulting in RosaAngelica Valdez allegedly stabbing her boyfriend. Phoenix police responded to the scene near Thomas Road and Black Canyon Access highway, promptly detaining Valdez. She now faces several charges, including aggravated assault, with the boyfriend's medical condition yet to be disclosed. (Arizona's Family)
