Man Arrested In Connection With Triple Shooting In Phoenix

Three security guards at a business on West Indian School Road were shot and seriously injured Sunday night, according to police.

PHOENIX, AZ — A 41-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Sunday night shooting at a Phoenix business that left three security guards injured, according to Phoenix Police.

Herman Samarripas was charged on suspicion of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, according to online court documents.

The three security guards were hospitalized after the shooting Sunday. Two of them suffered life-threatening injuries and the third had serious injuries, according to police.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at a business near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Indian School Road, police said. Police say the shooting happened after some sort of altercation between a group of people and the security guards.
