Man Found Dead Near Downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ — A man died inside his apartment west of downtown Phoenix Wednesday night, Phoenix police said.

Steven Moralez, 37, was dead when police found him around 9 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Moralez was found at an apartment that's located near 21st Avenue and Washington Street. No cause of death is unknown, but police have launched a homicide investigation into the cause.
