Man Killed In Midtown Phoenix Apartment Shooting

PHOENIX, AZ — A man was shot and killed outside his Phoenix apartment Thursday night, Phoenix police said.
Malik Recasner, 21, was killed just after 10 p.m. Thursday near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road after refusing to give money to a man holding a gun, according to police.
Recasner's girlfriend, who was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting, was uninjured in the shooting, police said.

No suspects were named or charged in connection with the shooting, according to police.
The gunman forced his way into the apartment after shooting Recasner and took property before fleeing before police arrived on the scene, police said.
