PHOENIX – The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has upgraded their Missing Person alert to a Silver Alert for 78-year-old Judy Kay Tanzer, a Sun City woman who told her daughter on Monday around 9 a.m. that she was going shopping. Tanzer hasn’t returned or contacted family members since, and the MCSO is asking Phoenix metro area residents’ help in locating her.

The MCSO reported that Tanzer drove away from her residence on Willowcreek Circle road in Sun City in her blue/green 2010 Honda CRV, likely headed to one of the stores she frequents most: a Walmart Supercenter at Deer Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway, a Walgreens at Beardsley Road and 99th Avenue, or the Costco at Bell Road and 83rd Avenue. Investigators were unable to find Tanzer at those stores, however.

Tanzer is 5’5” and weighs 120 lbs with blue eyes and white hair. She has no tattoos or scars, but does have a small mole birthmark above her lip. She also has pierced ears. She has signs of being in the early stages of dementia, in addition to a heart condition and Lupus that require her to take medications.
