Omar Linares Found At Canyon Lake After Months-Long Search
Linares was on the lake with friends in February when his kayak overturned. Windy conditions pushed his friends away from where he was.
CANYON LAKE, AZ – The body of Omar Linares have been found at Canyon Lake after the search resumed last Thursday. Linares had been out on Canyon Lake with three friends when his kayak overturned in February.
The four had been by Beer Can Point when it happened.
Windy conditions had pushed his friends away from Linares. By the time, they returned with the help of passersby, they couldn't find him.

The dive team searched for days without success.

On Thursday, the dive team working with an underwayer drone from a private company, resumed their search in the lake.
Linares, who was 23, lived in Mesa. He was not married.
