Pedestrian Struck And Killed In West Phoenix

A pedestrian was struck and killed near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road in west Phoenix Friday. Here's what we know.

PHOENIX, AZ — A sedan struck and killed a male pedestrian near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road at 2:45 a.m. Friday, Phoenix police said.

The pedestrian, identified only as a man between the age of 50 and 60, died after being taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries, according to police.

No charges were filed against the driver, who remained on the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to police.
