Phoenix 3-Vehicle Collision Leaves 1 Driver Dead
Three vehicles were involved in a two-phase Phoenix collision near 43rd Avenue and Alice, leaving one driver dead from his injuries.
PHOENIX, AZ — A Phoenix three-vehicle collision Thursday around 5:40 p.m. near 43rd Avenue and Alice Avenue left one driver dead. According to witnesses interviewed by the Phoenix police, as a Honda Pilot made a left turn from a business onto 43rd Avenue, it struck a sedan headed south on 43rd Avenue.
The first crash then resulted in a head-on collision for the sedan and a Chevy Tahoe headed north on 43rd Avenue, police said.
The man driving the Honda was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The man driving the Tahoe and his three passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. However, the man driving the sedan was additionally taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

Driver impairment wasn’t a factor in the crash, police reported.
