Phoenix Bouncer Gets 10 Years For Murder Of Off-Duty Firefighter
Brandon Draper was working at Centerfolds Cabaret when he shoved Luke Jones to the ground, hitting him in the head several times.

PHOENIX, AZ – It was January 21, 2017 and Luke Jones, a 12-year-veteran of the Daisy Mountain Medical Fire Department had stopped by Centerfolds Cabaret with friends. A fight ensued and Draper, his arm in a brace from an injury, was badly injured.
Someone at the club rushed him to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
The police were called and quickly determined that he had been at the club.

They ended up arresting Brandon Draper who had been working as a bouncer. Charged with murder, Draper was accused of shoving Jones to the ground and repeatedly hitting him in the head. (Get Phoenix Patch's daily newsletter and real-time news alerts. Or, find your local Patch here and subscribe).
The beginning of the beating was captured on the club's surveillance camera which, police say was disconnected by the club's manager, Timothy Piegan, once beating started. Piegan is charged with tampering and will be tried later.

Draper had originally pleaded not guilty but changed his plea in February.
On Friday, he learned that he will spend the next ten years in prison.
Jones, who was 37-years-old when he was killed, left behind a wife and daughter.
