Phoenix Father Faces Charges Of Shaking, Fracturing Bones Of Baby

Aldo Yunior Jesus Rios-Perez will appear in court Thursday in connection with charges of shaking, fracturing bones of and hitting his baby.

PHOENIX, AZ – Twenty-one-year-old Aldo Yunior Jesus Rios-Perez of Phoenix will appear in court for a Thursday status conference surrounding the felony child abuse charges he faces. He is accused of inflicting bone fractures, shaking, hitting and applying injurious squeezing force on his three-month-old son.

Rios-Perez, arrested Friday, came under scrutiny after the child was examined at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Doctors said the baby boy sustained several fractures that were previously healed in addition to current fractures. Doctors also reported blunt force trauma injuries on the baby, according to police reports. Court reports indicate that the baby’s mother said that Rios-Perez “gets frustrated with the victim and squeezes the victim and shakes the victim.” Rios-Perez has admitted to squeezing, shaking and hitting his baby when the infant cried and Rios-Perez got frustrated.

After this Thursday’s status conference, Rios-Perez next appears for a preliminary court hearing Tuesday, Oct. 8.
